Welcome to the Art Studio

Hello, students, parents and guardians!
My name is Nicole Tucker and this is my 13th year teaching art at the Bellefonte Area SD. I may come home with paint on my clothes and glue in my hair but I would not change it for the world. Being an art teacher is the best!
Making jewelry has been a part of my life since I was in middle school. Taking jewelry and business classes as a high schooler put me on a path into the jewelry industry that I am still pursuing today with the same sense of excitement. Check out my work (here).
I grew up in Clinton County and graduated from Central Mountain High School. I decided early on that I wanted to pursue the arts and went to Kutztown University to pursue Fine Metals and Art Education. After graduating, I spent six years teaching elementary art. I then moved to Bellefonte Area Middle School where I have been for the past 7 years teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade art. Recently I completed my Masters in Art Education at Penn State University with a focus on inclusion and social justice art.
When I'm not at school, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, go kayaking, cook using fresh ingredients from our garden and of course make art in my studio. Mr. Tucker is an avid fisherman and one of the 6th grade science teachers here at BAMS. We have two energetic daughters that keep us busy!
Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
Artfully,
Mrs. Tucker
